This is the web site for the Chartiers Valley High School Show Band and the Show Band Boosters Organization.

The CV Show Band proudly represents the Chartiers Valley School District, encompassing Collier Township, Scott Township, Heidelberg Borough and the Borough of Bridgeville.

Recognized as one of the most exciting marching bands in the region, the Show Band has participated in numerous Parades, hosted award winning band festivals, and has performed in New York City, Disney World, Washington D.C. and Disneyland, and many other national appearances.

The Show Band Boosters Organization is the dedicated support arm that keeps the band on the march to new heights and new horizons.

Mrs. Traci Kelly has asked that all parents who wish to call her, to please call her at her office, during office hours. Please do NOT call her at home. Thank you for your understanding in this.

Director’s Notes

We are looking forward to another great year with our 25 new 9th grade unit members! Please pay careful attention to the dates and times for Band Camp in August. Both weeks will be at home this year.

Choreographer’s Corner

The Memorial Day Parade completed another great year. Thanks to the seniors for all of their hard work and dedication to the Show Band. Rookie Camp has already started and is in full swing. If any DT/M member is unsure of the summer schedule, please check my teacher page for the latest practice times. Thanks, and have a great summer!!!!!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS - 2009 BAND CAMP DATES!

AUG 3–6: DTM 7 am – noon Band 7 am – 2 pm

AUG 7: Entire Unit 7 am - noon

AUG 10-13: Entire Unit 7 am – 8 pm

AUG 14: Entire Unit 2 pm until Parent Performance

BOTH WEEKS ARE MANDATORY!

Planning is well under way for Band Camp 2009! We are in need of volunteers for supervision, food service, clean up, loading, etc. Please contact Andrew or Teresa Volchko at avolchko@verizon.net or tvolchko@verizon.net or 412-276-0322 to let us know of your interest in helping. All chaperones and volunteers will require clearance papers. If you have questions about clearances, contact Fred or Sue Chabala at fredchabala@yahoo.com or sue_chabala@yahoo.com.
